Hi, I'm Mary Kate, the founder of Cheeky Loo.

Here is the truth. I am a germaphobe. I notice bathrooms. I always have. The soap dispenser that has been empty since who-knows-when. The flickering light no one has fixed. The paper towel dispenser mounted six feet from the sink, so you drip across the floor to get to it. I notice all of it.

And I kept thinking: how is this still happening?

We live in an era where people walk into a bathroom with no soap and walk right back out like nothing happened. Bathrooms are poorly lit. Stalls are cramped. And accessible bathrooms, for families with small kids, for people with disabilities, for anyone who needs more than a 3-foot stall, are still routinely an afterthought when they should be the baseline.

I started Cheeky Loo because your bathroom experience is part of your experience. The bathroom should be clean, well-lit, fully stocked, and accessible. The places that get it right, at every price point, deserve to be celebrated.

What Cheeky Loo is

Cheeky Loo is a community-powered review platform for bathrooms. Restaurants, coffee shops, hotels, airports, parks, museums, stadiums, and everywhere else you find yourself needing one. Search by location, browse rankings, and leave honest reviews of the bathrooms you encounter out in the world.

The details matter: cleanliness, stall size, lighting, soap, paper products, accessibility, the overall vibe. The stuff you would actually tell a friend. Good bathrooms deserve recognition. Bad ones deserve honest feedback. Either way, establishments can use what they learn to do better.

A note to establishments

If you run a restaurant, cafe, bar, hotel, or any public-facing business: your bathroom is part of your reputation. A clean, well-lit, well-stocked, accessible bathroom signals that you care about the whole guest experience. It might be the cheapest, easiest way to tell people you respect them.
